Tear-down Lacks Security Fence

Sand M said... "JB Albertos owns the property and the one next to it, I'm told, and I would hope they are making parking for their delivery drivers. I would also hope that it is because they were told that Morse Ave. is not a parking lot for their delivery drivers and that letting them park on the street indefinitely would no longer be tolerated.

But I doubt that happened. Does this bother anyone? I mean they're all standing next to their cars too, taking up half of the street. Between that, the open air drug market, and the other loitering that goes on, I feel like someone's gonna jump out in front of me when I drive through there.

Craig, aside from the politics, payoffs, developers, Joe Moore, and none of them caring about how many houses they tear down, you don't think this house should have stayed there do you? I mean I'm with you on all the others, but this one didn't need saving. Though leaving it there is certainly better than adding another commercial entity with no parking."

BLOGNOTES: Sand M. asked if I thought this was a good tear-down.

Well, it would be, if they'd do it right. I'm all for this house going down. I'm all for more parking. Tony, the owner of J.B.'s Pizza will tell you, I hated his double and triple parking pizza drivers. It'll be a relief to see the street not as clogged with non-moving cars. If that is what's really is going to happen?

But Tony, did you think I wouldn't notice the lack of a construction fence surround the property? This is just as dangerous as the squatter house that you just tore down. Or you can look at it this way. I'm doing Tony a favor. What if some kid got on his property to play on the tractor, then got hurt? Then the parents sued?

I figured this is as good a way as any to get the message across to Tony before I sent the photos to the city building inspectors. Besides, If I sent a letter to Joe Moore asking for help, the only way I'd get anything accomplished, is if I included a campaign contribution. And that's not going to happen anytime soon.

THE POLTICIAL DONDATIONS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES-

Seems that lack of security fence is an issue for a LOT of developers. Some remember the horse and pony show about at teardown on the 7400 block of Western--new retail and 6-8 condo/apartment units? Well, the bldg that was there has come down fast enuf, and the hole in the ground now sits idle--yet the builder has issues with putting up a REAL fence--the kids get into it--the weather and the wind knock em down...and there's an electric box laying in the debris as well. Yes calls have been placed to 311 and nothing....every other day the space is WIDE open.
So, this is a surprise over on Morse HOW?

More eyesores to look at just because someone wrote a nice check.

Graig:

If you sent joey the pictures he would probably blame you for the lack of a fence around the site.

i sure hope that it doesn't sit like that for any length of time, but then again, these things usually require waiting and patience.

Please...it's Craig, not Graig. Given all of the time he devotes to this blog, it would be respectful to get his name right.

You have a true gift of using horrendous grammar and spelling in order to attack someone else's stupidity.
