* Where's Joe Moore?

Joe sure has a way of opening his big fat trap in the media for every non-issue that comes up. But when the big issues arise, like taxes, so-called independent Joe is no where to be found. I even checked the Tribune. Anyone know how many times Joe Moore has voted in favor of a city budget? Any chances of that changing with this one? I'm guessing Joe's afraid to even to talk about it. Talk about a budget that 'sticks it' to the working class taxpayers. Hey Joe, did you think about this when you voted yourself a raise?

Hi,

I'm just curious. Do you make anything from this, (besides connections) or do you just have a boat-load of time on your hands?

Happy to help!

Here's where the rubber meets the road, folks! In Illinois Cities, the Council controls the purse strings. A Mayor can do NOTHING without Council approval. Here's where the balance of power between the representatives of the people and the executive is determined!

2001 - Moore: YEA!

2002 - Moore: YEA!

2003- Moore: YEA!

2004- Moore: YEA!

2005- Moore: YEA!

2006- Moore: YEA!

2007- Moore: YEA!

Moore has been VERY happy with Daley's budgets, EVERY YEAR!. Forget his ridiculous rebel, rebel noises. Moore is a staunch supporter of the Daley administration, the record clearly shows. Moore is a dependable, back-bench, rubber-stamp vote in City Council.

Moore was on the early news this evening whining about Daley's proposed budget.....I tend to agree with Hugh!

NPR used a sound clip from Joe Moore this morning in which he was commenting about how the public sees wasteful spending and corruption as a big problem in city government.

I nearly choke-spit orange juice through my nose.

This is THE single most important thing any alderman does - his vote on the City budget, although Moore will probably try to tell you his most important votes were foie gras or his Iraq resolution. Everything else is calculated distraction. If there's ANYTHING on an alderman's agenda, the time to get it done is before this vote. When you throw away your vote on the budget, you abdicate your office.

When it comes down to it, Moore is a Daley stooge.
