How can we spread something we loosely refer to as "democracy" to the ME when we don't even have it here?
If these TIF plans were put to a popular vote, as they ought to be, they'd lose.
All our city council any longer exists for is to rubberstamp each other's theft of the taxpayers' monies and properties, and to convey it all to the hands of pet contributors.
We have no more democracy than did people in Imperial Rome or Pre-revolutionary France. Oh, yeah, we can vote for whatever thief is going to dipose of our money, property, and lives, but we have no control over these scum once they get into office.
thats the spirit. I concur, however caution against insane, unhealthy extremism at the same time. lets keep working
