Police from the 24th District responded to a battery in progress on the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road around 3:15 a.m. March 7. When police arrived, they found a 27-year-old man bleeding from a head wound. Police called an ambulance for the victim who was highly intoxicated, according to the police report. The victim told police that he got into a fight with a male acquaintance of an unspecified age. The police report described the victim as "uncooperative."
The victim then walked away from police and refused to stop when ordered. Police followed the victim to his residence on the 6600 block of North Glenwood Avenue, who left a blood trail. A Chicago Fire Department ambulance arrived and took the victim to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was listed in critical condition with multiple puncture wounds to his head, neck and shoulders. While at the hospital, police interviewed another man who was being treated for a cut to his right hand. The man gave conflicting accounts of his injury, at one point telling police that he cut his hand at "Foster and Broadway at a liquor store." Police spoke to the man's brother, who told them that he received a phone call from the man at 3:26 a.m. that same morning.
The brother told police that he picked up his bro in Evanston at Church and Dodge. After the man was identified by the victim as the acquaintance who allegedly stabbed him, police took the man to Area 3 at Belmont and Western Avenue for more questioning. The report did not indicate if charges were pressed against the man.

6:15 AM: Three open air drug market salesmen hard at work in the 1200 block of West Morse.
Seeing I didn't want them dispersed to the 1300 block of West Morse, or worse yet, the 1300 block of West Lunt - I didn't bother calling 911. That's what happens when you know how the system works.
I recently read in the newspaper a warrant was issued in CA for actor Shia Lebouf. His crime? Failing to appear for a hearing on his public smoking violation! In Rogers Park, you can smoke cigarettes and marijuana in public, buy or sell drugs, solicit for prostitution and urinate anywhere you like without worry. And they call California the land of opportunity!
7:25 AM: Fire trucks and police road blocks are all over at 6800 North Sheridan. Avoid Sheridan around Pratt this morning.
how many dispersals were logged?
The neighborhood is perfect for me to start selling self-defense products. It's a shame, but true.
Bosworth, is it illegal to smoke cigarettes in public?
