Tree branch bashing

A 24-year-old man said he was walking home on the 6900 block of North Sheridan Road around 2:30 a.m. March 23, when he was approached by three men wielding a tree branch. The men demanded the victim's money while beating him with the tree branch, cutting the victim's head. The victim also sustained defensive wounds on his arms. The men took $77 from the victim and fled in a green van. The victim walked home and called 911.
Punks pummel man for $12

Two men in their early 20s robbed a 40-year-old man on the 7300 block of North Ridge around 9:50 p.m. March 24. The victim told police he was walking home when two young men ran past him and stopped. Both men pummeled the man with their fists until he handed over $12 from his wallet.
