While the results weren't what we were hoping for, Patrick wound up on the podium both days in Japan. On Saturday Pat finished third. Sunday he improved one position to second. All in all, it was a up-and-down weekend. Pat's had a nagging back for a couple of months and the twelve hour flight didn't do it any good.
Even though Pat was cleaning the sections, his facial expressions clearly showed the pain he was in. No one said it was easy. If it was easy, even Nathan Moore could do it.
While some may say I push the kid too hard, I've never held a gun to his head to make him do this sport at this high level of competition. He's a willing participant. As we leave Japan today, Pat remains in second place for the season. There's still hope.
Next stop - France. See you all Monday. Oh, sorry, that's today in Japan.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Far greater to dare mighty things even though checkered with failure than to live in the grey twilight that knows not victory or defeat!
You are doing amazing things!
Nicely done! What a great experience for a dedicated young man.
Your boy Smage is doing well, but as a Brit, its good to see that the Sun still doesnt set on the British Empire :D
