The Chicago Park District is pleased to announce the opening of Gale Park Community Center to residents on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Noon.
On Saturday, August 2, 2008 the park will host an open house from Noon – 1 p.m. We invite community residents to stop and meet the new park supervisor Sharon O’Connell and her staff. Take a tour of the facility and check out the new fitness center, gymnasium and club room!
Kids can create an arts & crafts project and everyone can enjoy light refreshments.
The park will be open to the community Monday – Friday, Noon – 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and we’re closed on Sunday.

Joe has a Cub Game on Friday at 2:20 pm doesn't he?
At least that is what it says on the Cubs Game Schedule!
He shouldn't be allowed to cut the ribbon but I bet he will be there along with his good buddy Jan who is totally behind OABAMA so she can slither in to his Senate Seat and then Joe can slide into her Congreesional seat!
Just remember that while Jan states she opposes the war in Iraq she supports the militarization of
public schools
Did anyone miss her smiling at the opening ribbon ceremony at Rickover Naval Academy that took space away form those students who could only 'get in' to a general high school!
She is such a phoney!

I'm sure the 'grand opening' will be at a later date. The Park Councils had been discussing it with Brian Loll and Sharon O'Connell, the newly hired Gale Park Supervisor.
