* Shots Fired Near Western - Person Hit (Update)

1:50 PM: 911 caller states "shots fired" at 2250 West Rosemont. Black truck speeding away in the alley. Police arrive on scene and issue a "slow down." No shell casing were found on the scene.

2:03 PM: Lo and behold. Mysteriously a victim arrived at St. Francis in Evanston with gun shot wounds. First claim was being shot at Peterson and Western. Police arrive on alleged scene (Western and Peterson) and find no shell casings on scene.

With-in the next 20 minutes police re-check the 911 call for shots fired at 2250 West Rosemont. No shell casings were found.

More info comes in from a witness who was with original gun shot victim at hospital. Witness says victim was shot at 6149 North Claremont, in the alley. Allegedly, 10 rounds were fired. Shots came from a black Ford Pick-up. Police are still looking for the shell casings.

2:44 PM: Police have found the scene of the crime. 6245 North Oakley. Which is very close to the original shots fired call nearly an hour ago at 2250 West Rosemont. Now if they only could locate the black truck.

2:51 PM: The gun shot victim was taken to the hospital by a "good Samaritan" and is now in surgery.

3:00 PM: Police say thats two shooting in two days around this area.

I hate it when the media refers to it as gun violence. If they were beating someone with a bat, it wouldn't be called bat violence.

Trying to confirm. Alleged shooting in 24 last night. Person was hit according to witness. (Thursday, 8ish)

Torched Land Rover last night on the corner of Albion and Ashland.

Land Rover was parked in a tow zone. Harsh.
