* Joe Moore Blows Off Jobless, Penniless Constituent

Talk about a bad "Yelp" review for Joe Moore. Our 49th Ward Alderman gets roasted. Roasted real good.
Michele says...> "I am jobless, penniless and going to be homeless.  It would have been an attempt, but an attempt is better than NO attempt.  Thank you, Joe Moore, for making me run over there because you VOLUNTEERED to help me as my alderman... and did jack shit."
Will Joe Moore go crying tears to the site owner of "Yelp" and complain he's being unfairly treated by those nasty reviewers? Will Joe Moore keep his track record in tact and demand these reviewers be fired!

Knowing for a fact Joe Moore reads this blog word for word, I gotta wonder what Joe Moore was thinking here?

Joe Moore's Ghetto, The Early Years.

The mean-sprited "mayor of Rogers Park," 49th Ward Alderprince Joe Moore, hides from the mainstream press as much as possible. He prefers the comfortable environs of the hacks who frequently pretend to interview him on local cable access shows. Moore is still not used to the Internet, much less the no-longer-new phenomenon of web logs ("blogs").

Keep reading the Rogers Park is the Mayberry of Chicago. It is a backwater neighborhood, avoided or ignored by most of the rest of Chicago, especially the local mainstream media.

This is very simple. Joe will not take a single step to help a "penniless" constituent.

There's no money in it for him.

Jesus, this loser has no shame.

Gee, that didn't take long. The power of the Hell Hole.

Craig,

You claim to be a reporter yet post any anonymous slur you find against your enemies. Reporters don't do that.

In your comments, you encourage - even applaud - the worst in people. Civilized people don't do that. Every blogger with any sense of ethics doesn't allow the kind of name-calling and anonymous slams that make up most of your content here.

At least Yelp has some standards.

I've taken to calling you "the heartless creep of Rogers Park." You really ought to rebrand - if there ever was a heart, it's been broken into too many pieces to be visible.

Michele's dealings with Joe Moore's office....> "Anne Sullivan told me to come over as soon as I could that day, that Monday. I ran over there within an hour or two. She was to take care of two things...to try to handle them. She called one person at one of the two situations. That person called her right back and got her VM. She never returned the call. She never did anything with the second person at all. No contact with that person as she'd promised, as far as I know. No follow-up with me. Nothing.

I called on Tuesday twice, Wed., Thursday. On Thurs, Betsy (chief of staff) answered and said Anne had been out sick and was just coming back. I was very polite and said, "Oh I know how that is, and I'm sure she's swamped from being out of the office, but the timing on this is crucial. Could you please have her call me today?"

No phone call Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. That's when I called 311, because time had passed, I was further jeopardized, and they had totally ignored me."

Draig, Craig, Craig --

The fact that a respectable site took this down should clue you that further investigation is warranted.

Nope. You care nothing for facts, or even clues. Read your jobless, penniless subject's string of reviews on Yelp. You did do that, didn't you? And it didn't make a mockery of her claim to be penniless?

The lady - assuming it is a lady - refuses to disclose what request was allegedly made of Moore's office. Without knowing that, there's no way to make anything out of her claims at all. Nothing, nothing, nothing, Craig.

For all you know she could have asked for 18 tickets to a 1934 Rolling Stones concert. You don't even know whether she is, in fact, a constituent of Moore's.

Have you no shame at all, Craig? None? No standards?

Joe, Joe, Joe. Really, you seizing every available opportunity to trash Craig on things entirely irrelevant to the to the subject matter is a bit, well...tiresome.

THE POINT IS, Mr. Moore's seemingly bloated and incompetent staff''s response time SUCKS. Why, this has happened to me and several people I know. In fact, more often than not.

And this woman felt she was in an emergency situation which compounded her frustration. What it was is not of anyone else's concern. I believe she stated she was a constituent, which is a silly thing to lie about, so let's assume for the sake of argument she is, okay?

Moore's staff doesn't even have, in my experience, the grace to TELL YOU they can't help you. Which is at least THE HONEST and UN-egotistical thing to do. Instead your time and theirs is wasted bullshitting.

But, whacha wanna bet some Moore people were spending their time slamming YELP with complaints and getting the post yanked?

Patricia,

You're kidding, right?

What could be more relevant than whether there's any sbustance to what he's reporting on?

Just because someone wrote something on Yelp doesn't mean there's any truth to it. Oh, but if it's anti-Moore than all standards go bye-bye. No need to check anything. No questions about the inconsistency between the complaint and the author's other posts. No attempt to clarify the complainer's complaint. No attempt to get the alderman's office's side of the story.

Come on, stop pretending that this is anything other than a cesspool of willfully blind, mindless hatred.

Blogger attempts to contact alderman's office this week.

Alderman's office still hasn't responded.

Madmom said...

Lemme see here: You just referred to YELP as "a respected site", no? You really can't have it both ways.

WTF would make somebody post a story like that ON a site like that if it was made up? A REALLY good guess would be that people that read that site are not the slimeball, bought off Moore supporters.

With that in mind, this HERE is a BLOG, sonny. Not formal media, not even commentary TO formal media. You pretty much get to say what you want on your blog so long as you're within the limits of the law and not advertising your dope or human trafficking biz. It is in fact a rather good resource for some of the goings on in the area.

You, dear reader. get to use that little "X" in the top right corner of your screen should you not care for the content. That does not give you carte blanche to personally insult the blogger or respondents to the blogger. In fact doing so puts your toe in to the dank deep CESSPOOL of being a troll. The troll is one of the lowest forms in the cyber world. Now does that really fall within your aspirations?

And YO! The core issue here is LACK or response from the alderman's office. Does no response from them seem unusual to you?

Listen to Joe Zekas praise the Morse Hell Hole one year ago on You-Tube. (September 19, 2007)

It comes in at about the 1 minute mark of his Morse Avenue presentation.

Joe said...> "Want to know what really goes on around here..."

Joe said...> "The Morse Hell Hole. A excellent introduction to the area..."

Oh, and Joe, those ladies are hookers. The guys watching over them are pimps. The others you're talking about are open air drug market salesman. That's what makes Morse Avenue so special.

Craig,

It's pretty obvious that I've reconsidered my view of this blog.

I have to confess to not having looked carefully enough at this site before saying nice things about it. We all make mistakes, and this was one of mine.

I'll be leaving now. My work here is done - determining whether any reasonable voice would chime in.

It doesn't appear that anyone with any sense of justice or compassion or decency participates here. You can all go back to the business of taking cheap shots at your betters.

Joe said...> "I have to confess to not having looked carefully enough at this site before saying nice things about it."

Glancing over things isn't the sign of a pro. That doesn't bode well for your skills as a "quote, unquote - "reviewer."

Joe said...> "My work here is done."

You were getting paid for this hog-wash? If I were your customer, I'd ask for a refund.

Craig,

I'll come back just to answer your off-the-wall charge that I was "paid" for my comments here, based on a misreading of what I said.

You're as illiterate as you are vile. You're a disgrace to your dad's memory.

For someone who dislikes and disapproves of name calling, Joe Zekas sure is pretty good at it.
