4:45 AM: Three shots fired around the 1345 West Lunt/1340 West Morse (Reside on Morse) building. Person was seen bleeding from the head and staggering east in the 1300 block on West Morse Avenue. Minutes later a 911 call comes in for a 'man down' who's unconscious on the sidewalk at 7000 North Sheridan. Person is lying on the rainy sidewalk. Person was said to be bleeding. This all could be related. Then again - maybe not. Point being... You'll never hear this information from cowardly Joe Moore. He's under the delusional impression that "crime is down....." No one is in custody for the shooting.

The Morse Avenue Open Air Drug Market is alive and well.
10:54 AM: Two Open Air Drug market salesmen were working directly under the blue light camera at Morse and Glenwood.
Two buyers came up and they went directly in front of the CTA Red Line EL stop doors at Morse Avenue to do the transaction.
Spotter were covering Wayne and Morse and Greenview and Morse.
Where's there's drugs, there's guns.
Where's there's guns, there's shootings.
Welcome to Morse Avenue.

Graig it's more then that with little joey. You see since joey has his head up his ass he isn't able to know what is going on in the ward.
I really, truly do not understand Morse avenue and why it's not cleaned up. It is disgusting with creeps walking around day and night. I think Mr. Moore should pitch a tent under the L stop for a few days and get a first hand look.
Craig: I appreciate your efforts to report for all the world to see the crimes committed in Rogers Park. I applaud your activism and your good intentions.
However, it occured to me that you may actually be doing more harm than good if you rush to post every single crime in lurid, gory detail on the internet. How many decent, hard-working, taxpaying, socially conscious individuals have read your sensational blogs and decided NOT to move to Rogers Park? How many people that would have been productive, community-minded Rogers Park citizens saw your blog and then took their talents elsewhere? Are you trying to scare the entire tax base away? If you had your way, we would all vacate the area and leave it in the hands of the drug-dealers you are so fascinated with. Then you would have more fodder for your blog!
A better idea might be to become more positive about our comunity to attract and KEEP the decent, hardworking, community-active people you seem so intent on scaring away. We can use our talents, such as your writing, to build a safe, progressive community if we tone down the dire reporting and concentrate more on becoming active participants. We need fewer handwringers and morbid doomsayers, and more positive action-takers! This means, among other things, meeting with police and Alderman Moore to track and prevent crime one household at a time. If anyone reading this is willing to attend the next CAPS meeting, call me at
(773) 936-9125 and I will get you the information. Hell, I'll even go with you! Let's do something positive for a change.
