* Chokehold on Eastlake Terrace

A 62-year-old man flagged down police on the 7700 block of North Eastlake Terrace after he was robbed on the Rogers Avenue Beach around 12:50 a.m. July 21. A man in his 20s approached the victim while he was on the lakefront and asked him if he had change for a $10. When the victim produced the change, the man grabbed the money from the victim's hand. A second man approached him from behind and put the victim in a chokehold. The men searched the victim's pockets for more money, taking $30, and the victim's keys, cell phone and eyeglasses. They ordered the victim to sit down and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Source.
