Camera May Have Clue to Shooting
The person or persons involved in the shooting of the female in the early hours of yesterday morning (in the 1200 block of West Morse Avenue) may think they've gotten away with the perfect crime.
Investigators have little clues, other than it may be gang related.
But wait a second. A neighborhood blogger has spotted a potential tool in finding out who was driving the get-away car. A high-tech security camera mounted on the side of the building at the Morseland Night Club. This security camera faces directly in-line with the direction the car was said to be traveling after the shooting.
If the camera works, it should offer a view of the driver, license plate #, make and model of the car.
I tried to contact the owner (Gregory Altman) and manager (Dave) of the Morseland to see if the police had indeed spotted the security camera and asked the view the tape for clues to the shooting on Morse Avenue. Neither was in. But the person who answered the phone - and the Saturday manager he passed me on to said the police hadn't contacted either of them about the shooting.
Maybe they will now?

It's really sad that these gang-bangers won't talk! They try to act so big and tough, yet they are all a bunch of terrified little kids... sad!
I wonder if these little kids have been potty trained yet... maybe that's why Morse smells so bad?
Craig Gernhardt--the Barney Fife of Rogers Park!
He deserves a reality TV show showing his daily quest to expose corruption and neglect on Chicago's far north side - - - - starring him and Tom Mannis.
And billyjoe can play Otis the town drunk! Or maybe Gomer!
Yeah, billyjoe would make a first-rate Gomer!
Maybe they will when they CAN contact the owner. BTW, it's one of the first things we do when there's a shooting. It sounds like they could not get in touch with the owner however.
Maybe the plainclothes units will get around to checking out the camera after they are done with 2hour lunchs at Hamiltons.
The uniform units come in eat and get back on the street within 1 hour, the plainclothes units go around the corner eat & watch TV.
Sunday there where 4 officers who came in shortly after the start of the bears game, they stayed until well until the 4th quater.
And Rogers can Play a fruity bastard like his buddy Natas calls him, but Tom Mannis
(ME) should be otis the Tom Drunk - Who's the liar in the Andy Griffin show? That's who Craig should play!
Hey Big Daddy- Do you think the cops have had enough time to contact the owner of Morseland yet? I'm curious to hear what the tape shows.
