Teen Murdered Near Alderman's Office

A teenage boy died after being stabbed Friday on the city's Far North Side, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Isiah Stroud, 16, of the 4000 block of West Roscoe Street, was found wounded in the 1500 block of West Jarvis Avenue in Rogers Park, the medical examiner's office said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead at 8:50 p.m. Friday. Source.

Comment found in the comments section. Joe Moore encouraged a foolishly dangerous level subsidized housing. He does nothing while the resulting violence unfolds. Joe Moore has blood on his hands. To those who donate money to Moore, please examine your own conscience.

Who really controls the 49th ward? It's the street gangs.

Was the victim a member of a gang?
Did he go to school up in this area? This is a real tragedy - especially when it so close to home. I guess it starts becoming more personal or else one just builds up tolerance for it - like a war - or just same old same old from those in charge - you would think if no moore cared he would be on the news speaking out against this type of violence and putting something into place so this wouldnt happen again. But if his past actions are any indication of what the future may bring we can only expect more of this - yeah sure crime is down

Is something missing here?

What is someone who lives at 4000 N. Roscoe doing at Jarvis? Is the deceased's residence correct? I had to ask. Maybe the answer is somewhere else in cyberspace.

This is priceless. Joe must be proud. A gang-banger covers for our Alderman in time of crisis.

Yet another tragedy in Rogers Park. But it's okay, people, Streetscape is on the way, the Morse Theatre will get rid of crime just by being there, Joe Moore will chase down the killers through an alleyway, DevCorp will continue to tell us that W. Morse Avenue is really N. Michigan Avenue, Jim Ginderske will do an investigative report on crime in Rogers Park because he's now publishing the only newspaper in Chicago, CAPS leaders will still not be moved to buy scanners, and "there are so many bad people its hard to control." Why? Because only a handful of people in RP give a rat's ass, and none of them are in the 49th Ward Alderman's office.

When I read about the Craigslist Robbery, I thought someone needs to 'Charles Bronson' their asses.

The Alderman didn't
just 'encourage', he, in fact, advocated for and created the concentration of poverty and subsidized housing NoH and continues to do so.

Just walked by the new memorial under the EL tracks today. People will spend wasted dollars on votive candles, teddy bears and roses but won't bother to encourages some poor stupid kid to bother to get a high school degree. How could Joe change this? David Orr set us all up in the 80s when he established all the section 8 north of Howard. What a mis-guided waste.
