OMG! I live a block from there - i hope the staff are ok- I see them from time to time and they are the best.
Why arent store owners allowed to have guns? I would have shot him in the one that winks and the one that stinks.
really those people need to have guns - how many robberies have to happen at that location? Moore has brought some great people into our neighborhood - thanks Joe!
That station is becoming quite the popular crime location. Didn't a guy get shot and killed there this past summer or maybe a year ago while pumping gas (it was a gang thing I believe)?
If anyone is justified in having a firearm, it's a small business owner in some small store. These places are very vulnerable targets.
Gun ownership is fine. It's just that there has to be the same type of regulation we have for car ownership, which means traceable ownership and chain of custody, restrictions on ownership by minors and convicted criminals, and responsibility for misuse.
ohh great.. i also live a block from there, and yes, a gentleman was shot and killed there this summer. (a week after i moved into Rogers park.)
Marti, please stay encouraged.
I have a few reasons to be upset and frightened, but we live in a beautiful area with loads of potential.
It's sad what happens in RP, but this area is filled with wonderful, bright, friendly active folks like ourselves.
Let's bond together and reclaim RP!
