Tuesday with Timmy Returns

Hi Craig, school was pretty decent yesterday.

All was calm before 9:21am this morning. When I exited my 2nd period class at 9:21, all was going pretty good, but then some kids started to act real goofy (yelling, screaming) in the hallways. I left the scene before I saw anything else.

During my 3rd period class, some kids were running real late, and when asked why, they disrespected her (as in yelling at). One person flashed gang signs at some others just before the class ended, including myself. To me, it wasn't even worth commenting on.

As I was getting into the lunch line to get my lunch, some kids from the previous lunch period decided to stuck around to take pictures of each other flashing gang signs. They were also being loud and getting in other people's way. Security removed them after a minute or two.

Other then that, nothing else happened (worth saying anyway), so it was a pretty calm day. I wonder what tomorrow will be like (won't be in school because of a field trip, this time to Lincolnwood Town Center).

Thanks,
- Avondale/Logan Square Crime Blotter, formerly known as Sullivan High School Kid

Sounds like the kids were practicing.

Don't they have enough photos of this already?

Isn't this what got Isiah Stroud killed?

Breaking Information. You won't hear this from any public official - you're hearing this info here first.

I've got word from a good source there is credible intel warning of a retaliation in the murder of Isiah Stroud now that school is back in session.

And then somebody retaliates for that and it just goes on and on and on...

Timmy, I admire your ability to stay focused on school with all of that crap going on. There was a little bit of trouble like that when i was in high school (many, ahem, years ago), but nothing to that extent, every day, all day.

Yeah, I've also been hearing about possible retaliation that was going to take place. No word on where and when it'll happen, though, so that's why I'm being careful as I travel the halls of school.

Great job, Timmy!

Craig, may i ask you a personal question. You say all of these bad things about Rogers Park, but has anything ever happened to you personally. Have you ever been attacked or robbed. Real talk.

If I knew you more on a personal basis, I'd be glad to share this information with you. Want to meet for coffee?

I agree, great job staying focused and positive in school - after my problems here in RP, I felt a little hopeless from time to time.

Keep up the great job - college will be soon!

Why does this kid go on field trips to a shopping mall? Sounds kinda wierd to me. Weekly field trips? Is that what my tax dollars go for?

AvondaleLoganSquareCrimeBlotter said...

"Mybad", I have a name. Why does everyone keep on refering to me as "this kid"? And as for us going to the mall, maybe it's called learning how to spend money and to buy stuff what you need/want. Weekly field trips are so that we don't have to suffer from too much daliy rountine.

I'm sick and tired of people asking why we do this and do that. Maybe it's none of your business. It's not all about school work every second of each and single day. Maybe we go on field trips because it's called being special need students. You should be glad that we're learning things on these field trips rather then driving the school nuts by wreaking havoc. If you don't like that, email the teachers and tell them yourself. I don't give messages for anybody who talks down on my teachers.

Consider this: would you want your "tax money" to go on good kids who go on field trips (to help them learn more)weekly or would prefer that it goes on kids who never learn anything and attempt to destroy our school?

I swear, it's like some people don't care about disabled children at all. We have a place in the world too, you know.

Thank you for wasting my time on this explanation.

I care.

Timmy, you've earned every right to speak your mind on my blog. Keep on writing from your heart! Your words a very powerful.

Of course you care, Craig, you're a very nice person who wants to help your community out, and you know we're not the ones causing all of the problems here at Sullivan. It's real nice to hear that someone cares about us. That means alot to me and my peers. I will also to continue to write from the heart (and also observations), despite who has anything to say about it.

P.S. Speaking of Sullivan's problems, we had an assembly on it about 25 minutes ago. I will send you an email about it once I get home today.

My readers and I are looking forward to this, Timmy. I had nothing to offer them today. They're getting hungry. I'll run it as today's lead story.
