1:35 AM: Police are called to the Tally-Ho in the 1900 block of West Howard, in the 24th district. It's unknown what the disturbance was, but it was enough to call in the paddy wagon in from the 20th district.
I called 911 (you'll be disappointed to know not anonymously) because of a street fight between two adult males (mid-30s) who I'm guessing were patrons of Tally Ho.
Fight was broken up by a third guy who appeared to know them both.
Police arrived just as one of the two that had been fighting was pulling away in his car. The other was still being belligerent so police stayed and more police arrived.
Why? People go to bars to get drunk and have totally inappropriate interactions like befriending strangers, casual unprotected sex and fighting. Are you suggesting prohibition might work? Give me a break.
FYI people drive drunk, how do you think they get to the bars, even aldermen do it...

I didn't say closing the Tally-Ho would stop stupid behavior, presstoe. BUT it would move it out of my neighborhood.
