8:06 PM: Crime may be down in Joe Moore's delusional world, but in the real world of Rogers Park, the shootings continue. Two anonymous calls to 911 for "shots fired" at Sheridan and Albion.
If you're counting, that's two shootings in two nights. Tonight the shooting involved a male/black in his 30's. He was accompanied by a female. No word at this time if anyone was hit.

It got warm out! Yay!!!
Ya, we're getting a summer preview.
It may have gotten bad in Rogers Park last night, but down here in Avondale, we had two shootings in less than 12 HOURS yesterday. The second one happened just feet from my house.
hmmm...black male, female companion...gun fire. Could this be the same couple that have been robbing people at gun point in the Jarvis Square area?
I like the way Bosworth thinks.
I am glad you are ok Avondale!
i think mr. moore needs to get out of his car and start walking the streets and riding the L. Not to make a statement in his goofy email blasts or for publicity but to REALLY see what is going on!
Joe Mope is blind to anything except MONEY!
I'm glad I'm okay, too, as well as my neighbors. I'm praying (somewhat) for the vitcim, even though he's a gang member. If anybody would like to chatter more about this with me, please, by all means come over to my blog and discuss it there :-).
Getting back to topic here, I think Bosworth may be right. I've been reading stuff here for the last week and this sounds like the description in all of those robberies Craig has reported here.
While I did not hear the shots there were plenty of Cops looking into reports of shots fired Sunday night around Jarvis and Ashland.
~11 PM. on Sunday
Broken Heart,as I understand it, one of your goals is to effectively rid the 49th ward of Alderman Moore(have you ever considered a mission statement announcing same on the blog header?).
Hence your persistence in announcing anything that has to do with incidents of marginalized safety on the streets at the alderman's office and its constituents.
Yet it has been warmer in the past 72 to 96 hours than since last October(after more than a few brutally cold days)
and, possibly,
more individuals pockets are depleted than 12 months ago...
... so wouldn't tensions be
prevalent over the weekend(another significant factor,BTW)
than if there was a presence of seasonably adjusted temperatures and less joblessness?
When spring and early summer actually arrives, and street folks are attempting to establish the seasonal hierarchy amongst themselves, your scanners may be legitimately overwhelmed and wrists achingly exhausted.
With these situations (among others),which are as old as the concept of city dwelling, how could one individual be so great an
object?
That's as incredulous as an individual promising that,if elected, they shall singlehandedly diminish urban bedevilment(and that has rarely been accomplished).
Why not condemn the whole of the aldermanic and municipal administrative system to being outdated
and ineffective
and useless
and purposeless
in its present state?
Or is it part of a strategy in parametrizing a larger goal by beginning with Moore(whatever that larger target-oops I meant goal- may be)?
