I always knew Joe Moore was gullible. But this? Our clueless Joe really got played the fool in City Council by Mayor Daley. Here's a quote.
"A few years ago when federal authorities were handcuffing some of the mayor's men from his native 11th Ward, the aldermen presented Daley with possibly their tastiest morsel of distraction: the Great Chicago Foie Gras Debate...."This is classic stuff! Joe "Investigate Me" Moore is now known notoriously as one of the biggest fools in the history of Chicago Politics.
...."I wouldn't put it past the mayor that he did use it to set me and the council up," {Joe} Moore said. "I don't underestimate his skill as a practitioner of the art of politics." Source/Read more.
Joe, the Mayor set YOU up. Not you and the council. They all played along on the joke on YOU! You got duped. You got played the fool. You're the court jester.
That's going to look good on the resume.
I gotta go buy the book.

====Power. If anyone's going to ban Wal-Mart, foie gras, or anything else for that matter, it's going to be the mayor and only the mayor, and don't you forget it.
It was also about putting alderman Joe Moore in his place.===
This link is the one I really, really meant. (sorry Craig)

Too funny!
I do believe the treatment to the animals is horrible. However, it's not like we have farms that are doing this in the district Moore represents. Wouldn't you think he has enough actual work to do in Rogers Park that he wouldn't get involved? I guess the chance to get in front of the cameras is just too much for him to resists. Daley just strung him along for his own enjoyment.
