Lunt Avenue Potholes Make News

Why is it the residents have to call 311, call 311, call 311, call 311.... and continue to get squat. But, get the media involved, and zap, instant fix.
If you didn't know any better, you might mistake the 1800 block of West Lunt Avenue in Chicago for a lunar landscape. The potholes are so deep and so numerous that your teeth rattle as you drive through. But the road hazard causing the most damage on the Rogers Park street is best described as a mild depression, a deceptively dangerous dip that has residents on the block worried for motorists' safety. I have emailed the alderman's office and they always tell me to call 311 (like I haven't done that) and then contact them and they will make sure the streets guy takes care of it - so I do and still nothing!
