Shots fired - A 44-year-old man was shot in the right shoulder in the 2700 block of West Devon Avenue while in an Indian "smoke shop," according to a police news release. The victim reportedly was taken to St. Francis Hospital in serious condition.

It's Spring Clean Up Day in the 49th Ward. I'm wondering if the police are doing their 1/3 rd to clean up the scum off the streets, while hundreds of us will be picking up trash and planting the neighborhood today.
Iam excited for this warm weather today. I hope the Latin King Nation leaves their guns at home for their usual trashing of the beaches at Montrose that will happen today between Lawrence and Montrose.
There are definitely lots of punks and scum to be cleaned up around here! Too bad they are not out picking up trash

I hope Joe Moore does a better job at cleaning up the mess he leaves behind this year than he did in 2005.
Sounds like someone just managed to get themselves shot and killed at the bus turnaround at the Howard train station.
It's kind of shocking to see a shooting happen at 2700 W Devon. I pass by there every morning on my way to school and it seems to be a real nice neighborhood. It also kind of scares me because one of my classmates lives just two blocks from there.
I heart the RP- The Police have been doing far more than 1/3rd of the cleanup job to rid the streets of the scum. Far more than anybody else has done. A more honest and appropriate question would be is the judicial and political systems in this city and county that not only allow but encourage criminal behavior going to do THEIR jobs.
