The castle looks as big far away as it does up close.
Update #1: Hot dang, America. Patrick is riding so much better today. So much better. Check out this massive drop off. Currently, after the first loop, Patrick is in a battle for the win.

Update #2:

Laia Sanz, from Spain, is the only woman competing. On section 14 she took a nasty spill and pulled out of the event.
Update #3: The Juniors are finished. Pat improved greatly today. He finished 4th overall. Would've loved a podium. But after yesterday, he'll take it. We're going out to celebrate the extra Championship points he earned today. Next stop, Portugal. I'm sure it'll be warmer down there.

Humph.
Maybe we can fit the whole 60626 , 60660, and 60645 blogging communities into that castle, with room left over for the Evanston crowd.
Wouldn't THAT be a novel!
