We will pay $150 to the first person for whom we are able to confirm the sighting of a slightly rusty, early 90's green Honda Accord, IL License plate # X32 2297.Source.
Last sighting: Rogers Park.
If you care why, we sold it to a junkyard with the plates on it. They fixed it and sold it. The buyer didn't remove the plates, and we've accumulated numerous tickets that we've been forced to pay. We've tried numerous avenues. Most of the tickets have been in Rogers Park, near the Jarvis stop. Best to look in the night-time, as most tickets have been during the night.
Legally (after numerous other calls and letters), we've attempted to report the car stolen, only to be told that we own the car ourselves, as well as the plates, because the other party hasn't registered it (they'd have to remove the plates, if they did). Either way, the plates belong to me, Jeremiah John.
If you remove the plates send them to me, fifty dollar bonus, plus shipping. That's $200 total, and you don't have to wait for my friend to get around to coming over there with a screwdriver.
Please, only confirmed sightings by phone: 317-966-2281

Found on Craig's List
For all we know, this could just be a prank. Still, it's interesting enough to post.

With the price of parking tickets in Chicago, this guy is probably losing money by scrapping it. But it's those little details in life that will get you if you don't pay attention to them. TAKE OFF THE TAGS!
I actually saw that and thought it was quite bazaar. What if you are taking plates off of a person's car that owns it? This person almost deserves it if they didn't think they should remove their plates first.

This guy gets tickets, but GInderske doesn't. That's not fair.
i was stupid enough to do this once. hopefully the cops will crack them. i don't imagine the junk yard is too happy, either. seems like they should be on the hook there, too. like maybe they didn't handle that title like they should have.
Dear fellow Rogers Parkers:
Thank you all so much for your kind advice. If I ever am lucky enough to own a car, I will try to remember these things. Thank you.

How come this doesn't shock me. Too many mushrooms before going to the junk yard, Mo?
sadly i donated the car to charity. lambs farm, i think. i had them come and get it, and just didn't think of it.
