Glenwood Farmers Market Tops in Illinois

I would like to know how many of those people who are so enraptured by the Glenwood Sunday Market are also buying produce from the "Morse Fresh Market" (1430 Morse Ave)? Does buying produce only on Sunday from under a little white tent make it more healthful or better tasting? Or does it serve only to make the typical Rogers Parker ripen with the liberal smugness? How about supporting the local businesses, people!

I'm surprised at you, Chip Dip. Here we've got the best Farmers Market in Illinois, 3rd best in the country, and you're bitching?

People don't care about local business. Look at the Urban Coaster. It folded because the neighborhood wouldn't support it.

Let's revel in the fact we're #1 at something. The last time Rogers Park had any such title is when we were the #5 bloggest neighborhood in the country.

Oh, and the magic, invisible ink voting pen.

A past from the past: I wonder how many votes the 2004-05 Farmerless Market on Howard would've gotten.

Boy, this neighborhood has come a long way.

Good to see.

Btw. I am sick of picking up the trash in front of Common Cup and I have let the owners know it.
When I see trash in front of it I pick it up, but let them know I cant come in.

I wont support businesses that dont pick up their trash on the parkway.
What do we expect the city to do it? They arent.
Do we expect the management of the buidling to do it?
Good luck trying.
Do we expect the owner of the 3 or 4 million dollar building to pick up the trash?
Dont hold your breath.

Do we expect the Common Cup to pick up the trash?
Yes, if they hope to keep their frontage looking good and expect to have good business. An artist did bother to put a nice piece together for them, but they cant bother to pickup trash, shame on the Common Cup.

I'd like to test Chip Bagg's blood pressure when he sees someone in a tye-dye T-shirt or wearing Birkenstocks.

I'd also advise him that for the sake of his continued health that he avoid walking anywhere near the Heartland Cafe.

Ha ha ha. You're delusional if you really believe that the Glenwood Sunday Market is the best in the state. Next weeks headline:"Act One Cafe bestest in universe!!!" Please...

Glenwood produce is better than Morse produce--i have yet to buy a mealy piece of fruit at Glenwood, plenty from Morse. Meat is better than at Morse. Cheese is better than at Morse. I will shop there when and while i can. I have options. That is one reason I live in the city. the other is that i'm a smug liberal asshole who appreciates a good fcking piece of fruit. Jeezus

If you really believe that the dinky little Glenwood Sunday Market is the best in Illinois, then I would commend you on your excellent choice of WEED. Take another toke and pass it over here!

Some people do care about local businesses and support them. Most of my neighors are still afraid to walk on Morse Ave and certainly don't want to mix with the riff-raff over there. My neighbors are mostly old bed wetters.

@billyjoe
Tie-dyed T-shirts are cute on little kids. On adults they are just pathetic.
I stay away from the Heartland Cafe really for no other reason than this: Mickey Jim has a severe BO problem. I can't enjoy my organic vegan herbal brownies if he is within a mile. He makes me gag.

@Pepper
I commend you on your self- awareness. I am very sure that you are indeed a smug liberal asshole. Or at the very least, just an asshole.

Ok - I don't have a clue what is or was The Urban Coaster.

I hate to tell you but I can shop both at the Glenwood Sunday Market and Morse Market.
