If you joined Alderman Moore, State Rep. Kelly Cassidy, and park district officials for the grand opening and ribbon cutting at Paw-ttawattomie Dog Park today, you got to see how Chicago really works. This garbage can was so full of garbage, the neighbors around Pawttawattomie Park, at Fargo, decided to just throw their nasty trash, right there - on the ground.
This is where the kids are supposed to play. Instead, it's now a rat diner.
On the plus side, no one got shot by the P-Stone's.

Brilliant reporting, Craig. This is the sort of cutting edge stuff you just don't see on Everyblock. Good lord! A overflowing trash can! Oh, the humanity!

Thank's.
Do you ever take pix of the positive things you see? Or is this just an awful place to live?
what do you expect? the trash container was already full of dog crap.
I hate taking my dog to the dog park because all the trash.
Streets & San don't like coming to Pott Park (AKA Killer Zone) because they don't want to be shot.
Gawd this looks awful.
Thanks for reporting on this. In old fashioned times.like last year on the blog people who did this were referred to as litter pigs. Very appropriate. A broom and a debris pan would make short work of this.
I believe these trash cans belong to the Park District.
How about a before and after picture? Where there is trash and then it is taken care of already?

LIAR, LIAR, pants on fire. Where's the rats. They're not in Rogers Park you fool.....
YEAH CRAIG! WHERE ARE ALL THE KITTENS AND RAINBOWS DAMMIT!
There is no point to argue who’s to blame and who’s responsible for this because the trash won’t clean it self and I the change would not start from us there will be a lot of trash on the street than you could never imagine.

Looks nasty... It shows a total disregard for their society that they live in. Disgusting.
