Yep I see a gathered crowd outside of an Estes building, an ambulance, fire truck, about 10 cop cars... and instead of caution tape, red tape? I'm assuming that indicates homicide. Just moved in recently - welcome to the neighborhood.
Yes, this looks bad. The teenager was hit in the head.
thanks for the info craig. i looked on eb and didnt see a thing
Nothing about this shooting on Chicago Breaking News either.
One less gangbanger to worry about cluttering up our public way. Bad late night area with a LOT of drug trafficking..
Estes is a hellhole.
Yes nothing seen on everyblock. Big surprise. I think everyblock peaked. And then it got PCM and well corporate. MSNBC? Forget it. I could support MORE it sctually could've stayed independent but it mamby pamby now. Wow makes me feel well plAin old dumb. Eb is ad Fred arminsen would say ITS OVER. :). Oops I mean PC ie. politically correct. Sorry for grammar damn iPhone
Stop dissing Everyblock. EB serves a purpose. The site is great for the tinfoil hat crowd who want to gossip and whine 24/7.
Estes was never a hell hole until the tents they started letting in. I have lived here for years since 1990. It's not the neighborhood but some land lords have poor screening techniques. Al. some want is the money. this neighborhood use to be quiet.
This neighborhood is not a hell hole.I have lived here. for years since the 1980 s its not the neighborhood but some of the people that move in it. some of the land lords don't screen the tents well. People with pants hanging off and so on. its not color but character. clean up the neighborhood shuts down the crime. there were times when you could walk in this any time of day or night.
The corner store owner on Glenwood and Estes got robbed and beaten up a few months ago. Gangs hang out there all the time.
please stop complaining about the tenants and landlords. what we have here is a perfect example of wealth redistribution so beloved by you liberals. just remember this when you all vote for obama this coming election day.
By my count from your blog posts, that's 7 shot in 7 days. If Rahm believes crime is down he's never lived in Rogers Park.
You should keep your kkk attitude to your self wealth has nothing to do with it I have seen rich people act just as bad. the only thing different is they get away with their unhealthy character and acts. I lived here long enough to know better. money doesn't change how you really are it just helps give you more asscess to show your true colors. and landlords some don't care.
but according to people in the beat, things are going well with the crime trends. Hahahaha.
move along please...nothing to see here...crime is down in chicago...and don't mention skin color...or section 8 housing...or gangs...or felons...vote for the democrats...all of them...move along please...
