Two teens shot North of Howard
(Oct. 17, 2012/Rogers Park) - Two teens, ages 17 and 18, were shot while allegedly playing basketball on Oct. 16, around 10:30 p.m., in Willye White Park, located at Howard and Ashland. Reports say it was a drive-by shooting, whereas the shooter shot at the two playing basketball from an SUV. The 17 year old was shot in the left arm, the 18 year old was hit in his ass. Both victims were transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and are listed in good condition.
The shooting is being labeled as gang-related.
BLOGNOTES #1: Police should be able to get a decent look at what SUV looked like from all the police cameras located in that area. That's if the cameras actually are working properly.
BLOGNOTES #2: Net-neighbors also reported "shots fired" around mid-night at Pratt and Greenview. 911 was allegedly called. No report if this was gang-related or even gunshots at all. It could've been just fireworks.

The two victims shot were playing basketball? One poster who lives nearby claims there aren't any rims, that they were removed to keep the riff raff away.
