Who took the blue bricks, and why? |
On November 27, 2012, around 9 a.m., a chuck of at least 30 blue bricks were removed from the MorseL, located at 1406 West Morse.
Yellow tape surrounded the alleged crime scene.
A check to the
City of Chicago's building website shows no permits were issued for masonry work at 1406 West Morse, leaving to more questions to be asked. If masonry work was being done - where was the city of Chicago offical permit?
As is required by the City of Chicago. Nothing was posted on the building.

I love my new stat counter. Glad to see the City Of Chicago Management Information Systems has visited the "Broken Heart", checking out who took the bricks.
Maybe we'll get to the bottom of this.
Whats the stat counter?
Weird, I thought the blue bricks looked fine.
Come on, blogger boy. Pretend you're a real journalist and publish all the fun comments.
Looks like building construction on a public way that should require a job specific City of Chicago permit to me.
Those bricks are worth money. I used do property management in Evanston. They kept the retro old tiles in Coffey hall when they remodeled.
I like the blue brick! And yeah, rogerspark60645 is correct, those bricks are worth some $$!
