Gidget goes to court
If anyone has walked along the 1400 block of West Morse Avenue this past summer, you've most likely had the unfortunate pleasure of being harassed by Jennifer, aka Gidget. There have been many, including myself, that have called 911 because of her aggressive panhandling, drinking on the public way, sleeping in the middle of the sidewalk, and generally killing any type of positive vibe for the block by screaming and cussing at people walking by.
Recently she was spotted giving people the business at the Chipoltie at 6600 North Sheridan Road.
I gotten word Gidget has been arrested. Gidget has a court date. This is a perfect time for the community to stand up for some good ole' fashioned "court advocacy."
Gidget’s hearing is Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. at 2452 West Belmont Avenue.

That foul woman occasionally shows up on Sheridan. That patch of concrete is such a bum magnet, it has its own foursquare checkin.

Didn't Jen C. note once that this lady receives 3 government checks. I may be wrong. It may be somebody else that posted that.
I believe it was two checks she got from the government.
I've been with one of your guy's favorite agencies for five years, and even though most of us are provided with free apartments, SSDI/SSI/LINK/ anything else you can think of, my "peers" continue to behave as if they were still homeless, hanging around outside all the time, panhandling, drinking warm liquor, and being a pain in the ass in general. Go around Lakeview/Lincoln Park near the Post office/McDonald's on Clark or walk between Wrightwood and Diversey and 90 percent of the pain in the ass guys you see are there because of Thresholds or Panera cares or some combination of both.
I'm forever treated as odd for preferring to spend my piddly amounts of money on books, classes, bills, and other useful things.

Do we really want to lose this? This is the true "vibe" of Rogers Park, especially Morse Avenue.
