If you went trick or treating North of Howard last night, you most likely were dodging bullets.
"Two other men were shot on the north side of the city, in the Rogers Park neighborhood, about 9:25 p.m. Both were taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with gunshot wounds from near the intersection of Bosworth Avenue and Jonquil Terrace.
One of the men self-transported to the hospital and a Chicago Fire Department ambulance took the other, Fire Department Spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim said. Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said a man in his 37-year-old man was shot in the arm and a younger man, 18, was shot in the foot. Both were in the street when shot and expected to survive, police said. Two males approached a group that the two men shot were standing with and opened fire, hitting the two, police said..." Craig, Do you have any sources or places to look online that will indicate what charges the States Attorney is (or should I say ISN'T) prefering against this scum? They should be charged with a Class X felony, but in the 49th Ward........

Yes and RogersParker shouldnt have walked toward such a crowd.
You get caught in the crossfire when you decide you put yourself into harms way. But hey, lets not try to inject any logic here. I wouldnt have walked anywhere near such a crowd, I wouldve called 911 from a safe distance until the thugs were dispersed by the police.

Aaargh, States Attorneys want career advancement. Convictions advance careers. Stringent charges might be tossed out by the judge. Lesser charges are more likely to result in a conviction. Duh. Do you get it Fellayshow? You want blood. States Attorneys want career advancement. It isn't rocket science har, har, har.
