New Sternberg Lamps, Replace Non-Working Lights
One of my first blog stories is getting attention... again. I must have subliminally mentioned our northside of the station being way too dim again this week in my Dark Side blog.
Wednesday afternoon, CTA workers were caught putting the finishing touches on five new Sternberg Vintage Lighting Company fixtures, for the northside of the Morse Station on Lunt Avenue.
This side of the station now deserves a coffee shop that stays open more than 4 hours a day. By the way, speaking of the word "deserve," Jack Bess, the editor for the Pioneer News Star reminded me, that it is Joe who "deserves the credit for making this happen." Alderman Moore, save us poor taxpayers a few bucks...don't spend a couple of hours... drawing up an incorrect press release!
"Thanks for making this happen.... Joe".
On Friday the 24th, CTA workers again were caught installing five more Sternberg lamps to the east side of the Lunt Avenue station.
