One of the Alderman's trusted side-kicks, Bill Kelly knew about the double parking problem long before September 21,1994, when this letter was sent out, but ignored the issue. The fact is... a meeting was held in the Alderman's office on August 23, 1994 to resolve a serious parking problem in front of JB's Pizza and not a thing was accomplished. Imagine that, a parking problem, circa 1994.
Alderman Moore knew about it the parking and drinking issue too . He signed the above proclamation letter in 1994.
* This letter clearly points out that Alderman Moore has turned his back on a promise to John Geraulis and the community, a promise to stop JB's pizza drivers as they double park.
* Alderman Moore turned his back on a promise to have the Chicago Police Department enforce the double parking ban.
* Alderman Moore turned his back on a promise, JB's Pizza Drivers would not drink Alcoholic beverages while waiting for the next pizza order to be delivered.
* Alderman Moore turned his back on a promise to clean up the bottles and cans after they are done drinking the Alcoholic beverages.
* In all...Alderman Moore has broken nine promises, in one fancy, two page, official letter.
Eleven Years and counting... later, we are still waiting for Alderman Moore to keep all nine...count them...nine promises.
We gave up on Bill Kelly's help, I think it was during the Renaissance era... a long, long time ago !

This memo from the first Moore administration reflects some badly-dated thinking. Imagine a business taking responsibility for the sidewalk in front of their business. How quaint!
Now-a-days we have more modern ideas: raise property taxes on the entire neighborhood and pay welfare recipients food stamps to sweep our streets.
