* City Workers Avoid Rogers Park

On the North Side lakefront, Rogers Park shares one thing with Englewood: Rogers Park ranks near the bottom in city workers per capita.

"That's mainly because the area is mostly rental units and condos -- with the few single-family homes too costly for a young police officer looking for space for his family," said Ald. Joe Moore (49th), who represents that lakefront area. "It would be very difficult to find a single-family home in my neighborhood for under $300,000, Moore said. "It's pretty expensive."

Wonder why these single family homes keep getting torn down? Our Alderman of course. Currently our Aldermans pal is trying to have a Chicago Police officer thrown out of her single family home in favor of "pretty expensive" development.

One of the few city employees in our neighborhood.... and our Alderman wants her out. I wouldn't be suprised if he wanted me out too? She isn't leaving... and neither am I.

Joe just held yet another Alderman's infomercial on a recent single family home teardown on Lakewood. I will feature this property this week.
