rogerparker-

we can't be sure. you can try and get the proper information from the alderman's office but based on past experience, they are not quite sure either. i think we should go with craig's info.

craig-

rpr will follow your lead on this one, thanx. btw, did not hear back from you yesterday regarding the 15 posters. are there any left?

Moore and Golovan

When not too busy with his calling of tearing down single-family homes to build concrete block condominium complexes, and running section 8 buidlings, Mr. Golovan indulges his keen interest in local politics in the 49th Ward. Apparently, he finds Moore's brand of politics much to his liking. Although he does not live in the ward, and although his business office is in the 39th ward, Mr. Golovan is among Moore's most generous supporters.

$1,000.00 on 6/14/2002 to Citizens for Joe Moore

$6,000.00 reported since 2002.

For some reason, Mr. Golovan prefers not to put his name on any of his contributions to Moore.

Thanks, Steve-o, for all your help picking our Aldermen!

"You can have crackheads or economic development."

i guess i'm wonderring why we can't have a concerted and cooperative crackdown on crime AND a rational development plan that allows our neighbors to proacitvely voice their concerns.

all of us and for different reasons, think we are getting bulldozed by this current hit or miss development rush. whether you are a preservationist, a simple single family homeowner or someone who is deeply concerned about affordable housing being erased every day in rp. all of these are valid positions to take a stand on imho.

Gemma - so far Don Gordon is the only other official candidate for Alderman to my knowledge...but there are sure to be others eventually...

....and by the way, there have been economic development studies and many proposals too, just either never implemented, or improperly implemented. If you want to know why, I suggest you write to Alderman Moore, or perhaps the executive director of DevCorp.

If you want to see how it can work when all stakeholders are included, start by visiting Alderman Mary Ann Smith's website...it is very instructive.

"In the spirit of transparency, I will also post on my website, www.ward49.com, the agendas of all future 49th Ward Zoning and Land Use Advisory Committee meetings and the results of those meetings. I will also continue my practice of posting notices of community meetings on major zoning issues."
