Join CeaseFire Rogers Park today Wednesday, April 19th at 11 a.m. for a CeaseFire Coalition meeting. The "End Violence in our Neighborhood" summit will take place at the United Church of Rogers Park at 1545 West Morse Avenue.
Later that evening Vernandez Jones of CeaseFire Rogers Park will lead a walk for peace/march and circle prayer. This will begin and end at 1340 West Morse Avenue. The reason for the walk/march/prayer is in response to the gun battle last Friday night on Morse/Glenwood, then Lunt where Brian Jones and Jumaane Jones got shot.
* The CeaseFire walk/march/prayer will begin at 7p.m tomorrow.
Blognotes: * CeaseFire is asking for donations of board games such-as Chess/Checkers/Monopoly/Clue or card games like Uno. New or Used will be fine.
* Bring a flashlight, friend or dog to the walk/march/prayer later that evening.
* Maybe my new friend Tony at JB's Pizza will bring out one of his wonderful pizzas! It's great business owners on Morse Avenue are attending CAPS 2431 meetings like Tony and those guys (Gregory and Matthew) at the Morseland Night Club and Grill.
