* 'Happy' Heart Back @ Work
Did you ever think you would see the day? I never thought I'd see the day. Everyone said he was finished. I too thought the enlarged heart was washed up. But those rumors were false. 'Happy' Heart is back @ work. After a 10 month lay-off - the 49th ward democratic office has put 'Happy' back to work, this time behind a desk.
* No more cushy cheerleading job by sitting in the front window. Although 'Happy' is still holding that mean sign denoucing 'Broken Heart' as a bad seed.
* No more relaxing and hanging out at the Alderman's house.
Now it's work - work - work. Even on Christmas when we caught him waving to us. We just had to snap this photograph. We hope 'Happy' is being paid a decent living wage?

I have to agree with Paradise, and (I think) the abominable snowman, nobody cares about stuffed organs, be they hearts or goose livers. As someone who often reads "The Broken Heart" but rarely comments, I would like to see more about what you think are the important issues in the neighborhood, and where the candidates stand. I and many of my neighbors have voted for Joe in the past simply because he seemed liked the only viable option. Please, Craig, convince us.
Like ortis I often read but seldom comment. Unlike ortis, I don't agree with paradise. Paradise would have us ignore the faults of another simply in the name of defeating Joe Moore.
If paradise truly believes in finding "someone plausible" to lead this community then all the candidates faults, short-comings, stances, etc. should be made public. This adds to the discussion and creates a wiser community - one that is better prepared to make a choice.
Craig, you're doing the right thing. By keeping the pressure on ALL the candidates you keep the discussion objective (as objective as it can be on this blog).
Craig, if you really wanted change, you'd support change. Who do you support?
Paradise:
Very well put. If Craig wants a new alderman, he should endorse one. Starting today I will publish a counter on how many days it takes for Craig to make an endorsement.
12/27/06 : Day 1 Craig G. makes no aldermanic endorsement.
I think it's pretty ridiculous how all of you worship Craig like some sort of Messiah to the 49th ward. What does it matter who he supports? The guy spends his free time walking around the neighborhood with his digital camera taking pictures of a stuffed heart. I mean come on, what has this guy done to benefit the neighborhood? You see, Craig is a pretty smart guy from what I can tell- with the exception to the grammatical errors. He knows that it really doesn't matter who he supports because no candidate in their right mind would publicly announce that they are aligned with this asshole.

Day two: No endorsement
I don't always agree with Craig either, but I don't see how anyone can dispute his contribution and service to our community. Also, I think his persistence and dedication show alot of "heart" to coin a familiar phrase.
