* DCI Furniture Says Ginderske Printed Flyers

Freelance reporter Julie Segraves today confirmed what the 'Broken Heart' had reported on Friday.

Joseph Ukonga, the store owner, said the Ginderske campaign "approached HIM - and was responsible FOR the political flyers promoting a upcoming political meet and greet event," at DCI Furniture Store today at 6954 North Clark Street.

This indicates the store owner had nothing to do with the flyers being stuffed in the Chicago Tribune Corp box on Thursday, January 18th.

That clearly contradicts what Francis Scudellari, Campaign Manager for Gindeske said to the 'Broken Heart'.

Let's hear what Francis had to say on Friday.

"First, I would like to make it clear that Ginderske 2007 did not solicit nor authorize the activity you described.

Second, Jim's role in this event is limited to that of an invited guest. Joseph Ukonga, the owner of DCI Furniture, asked Jim to speak to his customer base and took it upon himself to publicize it."

* OK, we just reported the follow up and asked both sides.

They both can't be right. Who's not telling the truth here?

In all, the turn out was low, a complete bust, according to one inside source. But Ukonga isn't afraid to try it again according to Segraves. This time, the right way. He has invited the other candidates to hold similar 'meet and greets' of their own. His doors are open to let the other candidates speak.

Still, questions remain for Ginderske, besides coming clean on this huge, unethical campaign blunder.

* Why wasn't there any 'paid for' or 'donated by' disclosure information on the bottom of the political flyers? This little disclosure would have solved a lot of problems from the very beginning.

* Why would such a 'in your face', pro-union guy not use 'union printers' on political material? He was all gun-ho behind me when Gordon made this boo-boo. Is he going to blame that on the printer too?

* If the Gindeske campaign is going to dishonest with the community now, what can we expect if he were Alderman?

* And the biggest questions are: What dirty trick is the Gindeske campaign going to pull next? And who will they blame it on?

I just had to remove three comments already. To Janice and Rhonda, we're not going down that path here on the Hell Hole.

This issue is campaign ethics - which Ginderske and Moore seem to lack.

Tsai: I had to pick a loser. I just wanted to see who would pick up on my "gin man" comment. Very shrewd of you. Ha Ha they are all going to lose against Joe Moore.
