* Ethics Not an Issue For Moore Either
Chicago's 49th ward Alderman Joe Moore just pulled the off the most un-ethithical stunts in recent memory. He's sent out his second political campaign mailer of the season. This time, one that looks like a neighborhood community newsletter. It's eight pages long with lots' of pictures of Alderman Moore smiling.
As you notice, it's very similar to the DevCorp North Journal format. And it's filled with about the same amount of false information. To sum this so-called newsletter up in plain english - It's filled with a bunch of crap.
One neighbor said to me, "I've lived in the ward 16 years and NEVER gotten a newsletter from the Alderman's office. Why now? Do you think he's scared of the competition"? I had to tell her "it wasn't a newsletter, it was all campaign propaganda disguised as a newsletter to get re-elected. And yes, he's scared - scared of losing his job."
Take page one for example. Besides all the 'baloney' on public safety, besides all his 'full of malarky' stats - Alderman Moore earns a big fat F on public safety. You don't believe me? Try taking a casual stroll up or down Morse Avenue or Howard Street after the sun sets without a 'can of mace' clutched securely in your hand.
Back to page one. Alderman Moore takes great pride in announcing the Morse Avenue Streetscape continues to improve. He tells us to look for bold changes this summer with $3 million in streetscape improvements. Say what? Didn't he tell a room full of people in 2005, this project was for 2006?
So people, please, if you get this in the phony newsletter, throw it away. Or line your bird cage bottom with it. Burn it. Send it back to the return address. When you see this in your mailbox, do anything but believe what's written on the fancy looking glossy pages. Alderman Moore is a habitual liar. Randall Sherman put it best when describing Alderman Moore. "Why tell the truth - when a lie will serve him so much better. Or something like that. It's ALL a bunch of ____! I'll let you fill in the blank.
Blognotes: Fight 'fire with fire'. Which candidate is going to answer the bell first? Who's going to be sending out a campaign mailer to all the residents of the ward denouncing Alderman Moore's phony newsletter as just a bunch of 'hot air' and soon to be 'broken promises', coming from a desperate politician fighting to save his $100,000 a year job? I'll be waiting for my copy in the mailbox.

Did anyone see any mention of the tax increases Alderman Moore pushed for in 2007?
I saw no mention of Special Service Area tax #19 or 24.
More 49th ward Line newsletter fabrications. On page 6 the Alderman proudly announces CPAN units on the Morse Avenue 1444-46 West Morse - Coe property. Although Coe has it listed as a Greenview address.
But the truth is there are no CPAN units at all.
> Send it back to the return address.
But first, write
DEBATE
on it in large letters.
You could look at the bright side and say this was better than just another re-elect Joe Moore postcard. I think this “newsletter” will generate interest in the community and inform a few about current developments in R.P. Regardless of the obvious spin factor. Unfortunately, all the flyers had already been tossed in the garbage in my mailroom.
I started a website dedicated to Joe Moore. Unfortunately, I have been too busy to get it off the ground. Is anyone out there interested in helping out?
joemoore.org
email me. The address in on the site.
Thanks, Michael Lee
Michael,
I was wondering where the extra traffic from joemoore.org was coming from. I just knew it couldn't be Alderman moore himself linking me up.
If you need content, feel free to link up whatever you like.
