* Where's Alderman Moore? - The Rider Building

Where's the Off-Duty Police Security Firm Alderman Moore?

In July of 2005, Don Gordon and I had finally had enough of of the open air drug markets, the goonings, the 911 calls, the endless screaming and fighting, the endless number of cars that would pull up and double park, so we went to the Alderman's office for help.

All the problems stemmed from a couple of slum properties. This was all taking place in the Rider and Medina buildings, in the 1200 and 1300 block of West Lunt Avenue.

After two years of trying to deal with the Alderman's office, Don and I got fed up, knowing the Alderman was no help at all. In fact, he was wasting our time going to his office pleading for him to do something. See, Don and I never wrote Alderman Moore a campaign contribution check.

But if you turn to page 4 of Alderman Moore's trusty 49-Line Political Newsletter - Alderman Moore claims to have solved the problem by working with the 'Strategic Task Force' just before the election. And proudly puts it in print next to the Mayor.

So we're here today to challenge the Alderman and his words. We report, you decide. Is Alderman Moore tough on slumlords?

Or is Alderman Moore a 'turn your back on the problem' - kind of guy.

Fact: One of the numerous solutions on the table, was to hire a security firm of off-duty police officers to monitor the 1345 West Lunt and 1340 West Morse Avenue buildings during peak periods of crime. Which clearly didn't happen last weekend. This is just a series of broken promises and outright lies from the Alderman's office.

Our questions today.

Where was the off-duty police officer that was to be hired by Mr. Rider?

Where was Alderman Moore to monitor the situation?

And why was only one charged with 'criminal damage to property'?

Isn't there a 'gang something or another' tag attached to this building. Weren't two of these clowns trespassing? How about if these two were in a gang or not? Isn't that suppose to increase the penalty?

Now they want me to go to court for a paltry charge like this - when we all know these two were up to far worse than criminal damage to property. Oh, by the way, one more thing. Is this a index or non-index crime?

Where was Alderman Moore? Let's see... maybe it was laundry night or something. In any event, wew can be certain that Moore will come up with some sort of creative (although phony) excuse.

Don and I? It is your prerogative to align yourself with whomever you choose. It is obvious that you have let what little credibility you had swirl the bowl.
"Don and I got fed up" "See, Don and I never wrote Alderman Moore a contribution check." There's some other stuff that Don and you didn't do as well. It was indeed Jim Ginderske who found out who the owners of the dung heap Rider Building were. It was Jim attending CAPS meetings and peace walks and rallies when apparently you and Don were sharing a check book with which you didn't write a check for Joe. You were there Craig and you gave Ginderske credit where it was due. Where was Don? Singing a chorus of Let the Sun Shine? No Mr. Coat Tail waited for others to do the work while he perfected his concerned scowl and his "something's got to be done" speech. You and Don are cut from the same cloth. It's the same stuff with which they made the Emperors New Clothes. Try the facts instead of the fairy tales. Look back in your own archives when you still told a scintilla of truth.

Runestone,

Where's Ginderske listed in this independent report?

Please check your facts before spouting off next time. Or take this babble over to Ginderske's blog team. They love this dribble.
