Why is Your Vote Tomorrow Important?
In Rogers Park's last election, incumbent Joe Moore was reelected alderman by just 640 votes. The ward had a population of about 65,000 but only 6,746 residents voted. Every vote matters.
Why vote for Chris Adams?
Chris is the only candidate who can hit the ground running. He is the only candidate with the combination of:
Public Service Experience: Chris has professionally worked with mayors' offices, volunteered for Chicago children and immersed himself in the 49th Ward and our issues.
Management Savvy: As an Executive Editor of four Chicago-area daily newspapers and a downtown news bureau, Chris has managed multi-million dollar budgets and a staff of more than 200 people. He knows how to manage limited resources for the greatest result.
Thoughtful Solutions and Key Relationships: Chris has resolved differences, brought about significant change, and moved residents and leaders to act. And he will forge a wide range of strong relationships with the Illinois Board of Education, the Chamber of Commerce and other institutions that can help Rogers Park grow.
Lifelong Democratic focus: From his days as a page for Jimmy Carter to 20 years never having missed a Democratic primary to his current team which includes former Barack Obama and Bill Clinton team members, Chris takes pride in his Democratic ideals and ties.
How deeply is Chris vested in Rogers Park?
Chris is the father of two children who graduated from Chicago public high schools and a 16-month-old daughter he'd like to send to quality schools in Rogers Park. He's the father of a daughter at Loyola University, whom he wants to be able to walk the streets of Rogers Park safely. And he has a family - like so many others - that would like to find most of their goods and services right here.

Chris Adams? Who is he? Did he have the committment to send his kids to the Chicago Public Schools or did he go private? I did and my child repeatedly scores in the upper 90th percentiles on the ISATs.
How long has he lived here? Who does he politically associate with? What are his views? How does it help Rogers Park? Is he committed or does he simply have a child at Loyola. This is vague.
His papers look just as much politically stuffed as the next shirt.
From what I see, Gordon or Moore, perhaps others, not Adams, even if Moore politics with the seniors. A few of those folks are a bit seasons. Maybe some of us should spend some time talking with them at an RP Biz-Arts function when they stop by the homes. FWIW, I don't see Adams and his folks as doing anything less than Moores.
