This is a reminder for those who are interested, Jay Johnson's day in court will happen today, Tuesday April 24, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. court room 1103.
There will be a school bus picking people up in front of the Howard Area Community Center at 8:30 and in front of the United Church of Rogers Park at 8:45, give or take a few minutes.
Remember, you must go through security to get into the building, so you may want to wear and bring as few things as possible and try to leave any metal at home if you can.

BLOGNOTES: There is also suppose to be a press conference today regarding Don Gordon challenging the 49th ward vote count on April 17th.
I'm told Scott Phillips Public Relations firm is handling the information. But information doesn't seem to be coming to the media. Yesterday rumors swirled about a 1PM press conference at Daley Plaza, but the officials at the Gordon campaign couldn't be reached. Reporters are grumbling that getting information on a timely basis is not happening at the Gordon HQ and the PR firm representing them is sorely lacking in their duties.
Sounds like a chaotic and unorganized operation to me! It's sad that a local free blog does a better job than a PR firm. But what would I know. I've never gotten a press release, much less one with the wrong contact phone number.

Ye giveth yourself too much credit. MAYBE the PROFESSIONAL PR Firm doesn't want some hack blogger misconstruing what the actual intent is. Just because you don't know what's doing on, doesn't mean that something isn't. After all, what actual credibility do you actually bring to the table?

I wouldn't trust the 'PRO PR' firm much anymore, so call Harrington or Gordon if you don't trust my source.

Face it Craig: Gordon used you. He wanted the exposure you provided him during the campaign but now that his battle is in court he has no use for you. You are a convenient target for the blame for his loss too, aren't you? It didn't take him long to blame your "mud-slinging". Of course he's right, but he forgets that it was HIS mud you were slinging and that he was down there in the dirt with you.
Don needs to find himself a job.

I have heard that the Gordon campaign has hired Mike Lavelle to handle the case. This is unfortunate, since from past experience Lavelle is highly overrated as an election law attorney.
Did a press conference actually happen? Was there a press release? Could it be that the pr firm didn't tell you about a press conference because there wasn't one? Did the rest of us miss something?
Press releases, if any, are consistently sent out in form of an HTML email and you know it.
Any news on the Johnson hearing?
