* Just Hanging Out at Morse and Glenwood
We've had quite the conversation going about who just hangs out on the street corners doing nothing and why. Pro Gun sent me this photo of these two guys just hanging out in front of the Rider building yesterday at Morse Avenue and Glenwood. This was right under the Rider video surveillance cam. According to Pro Gun, these two were hanging out for three hours, from 8AM until 11AM. He believes they were up to no good.
So, my question today is this. What do you think these two were doing? Would you immediately say they're open air drug market salesman? Or would you say these two guys hanging out, killing time and talking about the weather for three hours at a still active open air drug market corner?
The only real way to find out would be to review the entire Rider video tapes for April 23, 2007, between the hours of 8AM and 11AM. Maybe Joe can send his newest snowblind ZULAC'er Ginderske to review the tapes for us? From what I'm told, he has a lot of time on his hands himself these days.

On Friday I saw a couple of foot patrol cops (both female) across from Soo Liquors. It was about 4:40 p.m. There was a deal going down about 2 doors east of Soo Liquors. The cops glanced over and just kept walking west. If I knew what was going on they sure did.
I am always suspicious of people who are just "hanging out" for long periods during the day -- especially if they stay in one spot and other people/cars come and go and engage in short interactions with them. It seems there's usually little good going on in those cases.
Hard to tell. . .they could have just been hanging out. It is kind of a shame that people can't stand on the corners without someone thinking they are up to something, but then, that's the area we live in.
I wrote about my opinion of loitering on my blog rogers park forever. you can get there by clicking on my name and its at the bottom of my profile.
