* Clark Street Fire Update

I'm told by a reliable source that smoke could been seen billowing out of the 7000 North Clark Street businesses as late as four o'clock this morning. The last fire truck left the scene at 6AM, and this morning the Bomb and Arson squad will check out the building. The floors are totally collapsed. As of now, no word when the street will be re-opened to traffic, but all the emergency vehicles are gone but the CPD blocking Lunt to Greenleaf.

I saw smoke in the distance as I passed Morse on the 147 around 5:30 PM yesterday. I hope no one was hurt.

We could see the smoke well into the night last night from our South windows on Jarvis.
Whatever made that place burn, I find it hard to bellive that a bakery could have burned that hot for so long without being intentional.
