BLOGNOTES: A loyal reader archived the 'Broken Heart'. We've now uncovered Thomas Westgard's deleted comments. Here is the company Alderman Moore keeps. Alderman Moore and his people want to wipe out all the low income rentals. "Just shut them down," as Westgard posted. Is that who you want in charge?

Are you a Libertarian? Is Alderman Moore a Libertarian Westgard?
No, they are not. They are both craven egoists who care about obtaining and retaining power and the rest of us can be damned. Libertarians hardly ever hold public office because, well, their philosophy prevents them from getting something for nothing.
Saul Alinsky would even be sickened by them.
Come on now, Craig, aren't you committing the very sin you accuse Joe Moore of: taking people's words out of context? Where is the rest of the post? Perhaps Tom was speaking sarcastically, setting up a point to be negated, or even quoting somebody else.
If you're going to take someone to task for a journalistic transgression, the least you can do is decline to indulge in the same tactics yourself.
Assuming that TW comment is not taken out of context, it absolutely befuddles me why TW would support Moore. The big-box and goose ordinances are about as anti-libertarian as can be gotten!
Tom Westgard was surely being sarcastic because every post of his I have ever read reveals him as a flaming socialist.
