Ryne, we've been worried about the travelling sand too. The thing that worries us a lot is what happens once all that sand starts working down into the soil...eventually, it could destablize some of those nice tall old trees.
I can't believe that concrete near the lake would need repair? How is that possible? While we do live in a city with sub zero temperatures and lots of ice by a major body of water, under Don Gordon's new regime, such temperature extremes would never happen! Thus, saving taxpayers thousands in annual repairs. I can't wait until Don Becomes alderman and turns Sheridan road into a bike only zone!
So, Don was a Lakefront Activist, led lakefront planning etc. Were new bike/walking paths not in the planning with any of these committees?
Yeah, the city needs to fix these things but how can a guy who was so involved in our lakefront and who has championed getting things done to preserve the lakefront and parks, oh you get my point. Less fingerpointing and more action would be so nice.
Virgina: Don Gordon can only do so much as an activist. Joe Moore HAD the opportunity AND means to resolve this particular issue. He has not.
Nobody: Ice and water certainly made this problem, but it took YEARS to develop (under the "watchful" eye of Joe Moore). Your global warming comments are just idiotic.
Nobody Hippo You guy have to remember this blog is only for those who are true believers, if you have an opposing view point Craig will call you a slim ball or coward you get the idea...don't waste you time here. Gordon must be working that alien mind control thing, these people are kool aid lovers, or should we call it Gordonaide
I don't see a pro-Moore blog site allowing free flow commentary from opposition - David Fagus' blog certainly doesn't. I suppose you could say Westgard does, but his commentary is so very sad and not particularly thought provoking since he went through that mind-meld with Joe Moore. I just wish I knew what Don Gordon did to piss him off - side with Tom's ex-wife?

Would that be on the lakefront near Morse?
Yes, between Lunt and Morse.
I know someone who fell and hurt themself on the crumbling sidewalk in the park. And how about the sand taking over the grass?
Yes the sand keeps moveing west. At the rate of movement I expect Sheridan Rd to be covered with sand by 2008.
Unless we vote for Don Gordon on April 17th.
Stick joes head in the sand!

Hope they don't fall on anyone when they go...
