I was reading your blog and the subject of the new fire-station came up in somebody's comment. Your blog seems like the only forum for asking Joe about the status of some of these promised projects in Rogers Park.
1.) Where the heck is that fire station that he's promised for god knows how many years?
2.) Where is the Morse streetscape project that he's promised for years and years?
3.) Why is the Gateway mall still half empty?
4.) Why are the parks so dirty and full of homeless people who live there?
5.) Why are the drug dealers still dealing drugs all around Morse Ave., despite the cameras and police busts (which Joe said were putting an end to the drug sales)?
6.) Why is Howard Street still filthy and under developed?

Where's Joe Moore?
An alderman has very few actual responsibilities, but if you hurry you should be able to find Joe Moore at his seat in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall today Thursday after 10 AM. They like to wrap up around mid-afternoon before all the best loop restaurants close lunch, so hurry! Moore sits in the back row in the corner, just inside the railing of the visitor's gallery, so you should be able to speak to your representative about your issues during a break in his contribution to the day's unanimous votes.

How about a pix of Mr. Herron - so we can tell the bad from the good before it hits us in the face?
For that matter why don't you put together a rogue's gallery of local quality of life perps?? We can all send you photos of our own personal neighborhood problems - a few hundred photos - all in one place - of drunks and drug dealers and hookers and bike spotters and thug mobs trashing cars might just become more than the sum of the parts ..... put Joe and Michael and Katie in there at the top - cause AND effect -
