* 'Broken Heart' Gets Under Tommy's Skin

Tommy in Duck Suit to Mock Joe Moore

Tom says....> "There's an opinion expressed above that the RPGG has no responsibility for choosing its venues for communication, and that the venues they have chosen aren't a reflection of who and what they are.

Obviously, I disagree. Nobody today is unaware that the medium is the message. The RPGG has been happy to accept the support of Craig's blog, a deliberate choice on their part, for which they are responsible. It's very clever and all, trying to say I'm the bad guy for pointing out the connection, but they made the connection.

As for Joe's membership in the RPGG, Joe's the same guy who put Jay Johnson on his zoning committee, and let Don Gordon run his 49th Ward Parks & Beaches Committee. Sometimes, Joe is a little too nice to people who want to take advantage of him - I guess he feels it's his obligation. Whether RPGG is one of those groups is still an open question, but their willingness to cozy up to Craig & Mannis isn't a good sign. Joe gives people the benefit of the doubt, and some of those people reward him by stabbing him in the back.

So far, I've been yelled at by one Gordon supporter after another - Jocelyn, Craig Gernhardt, Pamela Van Giessen, Isaac Marshall. Mannis can't be long behind. They're all telling me that the group isn't a bunch of Gordon supporters. I suppose the RPGG needs to take another look at the message it's sending out by accepting Craig's enthusiastic support, but I'm not so focused on forcing them to do any particular thing. As the title says, this was just my observation. Given the response from one Gordon supporter after another, it still looks pretty damned accurate.

BLOGNOTES: Well, this confirms it. Westgard has totally lost his marbles! Tommy has found way to use the fact I didn't support Joe Moore on my blog to attack a bunch of gardeners. There's no other way around it. Tommy boy is a bitter individual. This has nothing to do with Gordon. This has everything to do with the fact Tom hates me. Tom uses his 'word play' skills just well enough to know, by attacking Gordon, this will cause more of a ruckus than directly attacking me.

What other Rogers Park bloggers are saying
....

The Living Room calls Tom's - 'Hey look at me' stunt, a cheap shot.

And for a positive spin, Jocelyn at Rogers Park Neighbors gives us a look into July's Garden Walk.

Finally, Rebecca at The Rogers Park Bench covers July's Garden meandering.

Thank You Joe Moore and all for supporting the RPGG.

Gardening is good government.

When elected officials act as ambassadors they are at their best.
By reaching out to their detractors and asking them to volunteer and lead groups, that is good government.
Working with those who oppose you is what it takes to be an effective leader.

So get your ass back from Washington and come talk to your detractors so we can reunite here to support you there.

So people get over it. Lets have some fun in the sun and raise our kids right.
This shit is petty and hurtful with no end in sight.
Could the RPGG be the group that ends this fight?

Gardeners, expert bakers and hot babes with muddy faces count me in.
My (extremely hot) wife and I would like to contribute, participate and some how fit in.

By the way could any of you gardeners use a pile of gravel?
I know where about 1 cubic yard resides and may help it travel.

Just ask here on the HH
After all this is where things get done
Lots o Love
Signed
Pro Gun.

Any friend of Craig's is an enemy of Tom's.

Blogging tips: I've found out lately, a few loyal readers would rather post a comment about a story I do here on their own blogs. When they do connect to a subject I've covered here, I'll link them up here, as I did today.

I feel these stories on their blogs are as part of the community as my blog. That's why I share.

One loyal reader and local blogger didn't want the link attachment, so she removed her story after she read it here bright and early this morning. (Much like Westgard does)

That's fine - but word of warning bloggers. When your blog post winds up on the Outside.in blogroll, it's then public information. It's open to be linked up.

Looks to me like Tommy got a little be bored, given that only a couple of local nut cases seem to regularly read his cyber dear diary.

So he drums up something to get himself a little attention. Looks like it worked.

Ignore him. He'll go away again.

The duck suit is supposed to represent what, exactly?

I wish there were more groups geared towards improving RP, and fewer geared towards bringing it down.

Only thing cheap around here are Craig, his blog and All of the anti-helping Rogres Park, lets make rogerspark look negative bloggers like you!

Tom's also censoring comments on his blog... I accused him of having difficulty admitting his own errors, and he refused to allow the post. Thomas clearly has problems admitting he is wrong--to the point of digging himself further into these deep holes all of the time. Not that Craig is a saint or anything...

Tom Westgard - to say it is to cringe.

It is said that Tom Westgard is the interior region of a horse's ass. Far be it from me to attempt to dissuade people from their beliefs. I would question such biased slander of the horse – a noble creature. It is said that Tom Westgard will eventually collapse of his own failed actions. Given that they appear to be many, I could not honestly disagree. Many say he runs with hypocrites, he works with hypocrites, he supports hypocrites as he himself is one. I will ask around. As a public figure he has been called a turncoat, an opportunist and a bold faced unashamed liar. A cursory inspection of the record of the last aldermanic election would tent to prove such a statement out. Tom Westgard tells us all that he knows how we should behave, who's politics is correct and who’s politics is incorrect, who's morality is righteous and who's morality is flawed, who is racist or bigoted and who is not. Still, many feel he is one of Rogers Park's premier misogynist woman haters, liars and blackguards. Ask his ex-wife. She should know. Ask his ex-girlfriends. They would be happy to support this view. An acquaintance of mine claimed that his word is as worthless as his memory is short. That would make his word pretty worthless, if my friend is, as he usually is, correct in such matters. I dispute the rumor that he has been known to have sex with animals. It was speculated that one hundred and fifty years ago it was the Tom Westgards of the world that were signing land deals with American Indians and selling shares of railroads that went to nowhere. Well, he is a lawyer – after a fashion. My lawyer says he is a FRUSTRATED ambulance chaser with a reputation to match. That must make him frustrated indeed. Listening to people around the neighborhood, one might conclude that to inspect Tom Westgard’s life is to look at a person living in chaotic disregard for any decent code of ethics, honesty, fairness or sense of consistency. Reputations tend to have a basis in fact. Rumor has it that he has left a trail of broken homes, under-supported children, broken leases and unpaid financial obligations behind him as he flits from one failure to another. That after a time, one comes to realize Tom Westgard is simply dancing through life cloaked from reality behind his megalomaniac belief that he and he alone is the arbiter of all that is right and wrong in a community to which he is only a very late comer. It appears he dreams of being a judge, yet he is clearly at best a diminished and marginal lawyer.

A friend said “He walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and has at times dressed like a duck”. Must be true – I saw the picture.

That is the last I will ever say about this pathetic impotent footnote of a human being.
