* Alley Work Never Completed

Hi Craig,

So, it's been a little over a month, and the alley between Pratt and Farwell still isn't finished. I'm writing you about this with the vague hope that perhaps a mention in your blog will spur on some activity, as I would prefer for this to be completed sometime before winter. The surface of the alley was stripped at least a month ago, and at that point all work ceased. There is no obvious reason for work to not be continuing, as we have had many nice days recently, and they somehow managed to squeeze in finishing the alley between North Shore and Pratt, so I really see no reason why they've apparently dropped off the face of the earth.

Signed,

Still patiently waiting

ya'll wanna know something hilarious? THEY ACTUALLY STARTED WORKING ON THE ALLEY TODAY. I'm sorry, but to me, that is just too funny. Apparently the only way to get anything actually accomplished around here is to bitch about it on the blog. HAHAHAHA. Anybody catch the sarcasm there? And yes, this could just be a coincidence, but to me, that would just be too much of a coincidence. So you know, should there be something buggin' ya on your street, being all complaints here, cause it works. Well, for all things except for the filth on Morse. But who knows, maybe they're secretly working on that and then one day, BAM, all the filth will be gone. Ya, right.

I've noticed activity surrounding the alleys, as well. It looks like a few of them have been paved. One alley, between Pratt and Columbia, has a groove down the middle of it. I wonder if the workers are planning to put speed bumps in.

Anybody know what the groove down the middle is for? Drainage?
