Pronunciation: (spoil'spôrt", -spōrt"), [key] —n. a person whose selfish or unsportsmanlike attitudes or actions spoil the pleasure of others, as in a game or social gathering.
I recently noticed postings all over front doors for the Gale Community Center.... the next day I noticed that all the postings for the Gale Community Center meeting were posted OVER by bright green flyers by "Friends of the Alderman" for Happy Feet or something like that covering up the sheet that talked about the meeting. I thought maybe it was just mistaken on my apartment building but then walking down the street noticed the Happy Feet flyer, what seemed like strategically places over Gale Community flyer on each and every door....
Where was this cartoonist eight months ago? A few editorial cartoons like this one back during the Aldremanic campaign and the Alderliar is at a Kinko's, applying his creative fiction skills to his resume!
Seeing Joe Moore can't speak for himself, I'll share what his official blogger had to say. Seems Moore's peeps want to play the 'coded' race card with this subject too. How sad.
Wee-Wee blogger said...> "The caricatures are hilarious. I especially like Grumpy Toni looking, well, grumpy. The words are literal, and long, however. There's no joke in the words. The use of "you people" as a coded implication of unfounded racism is rather Daley-like and undermines the message. The cartoon would actually be funnier and make the point better if the words were missing."
Perhaps Wee Wee can post some of his attempts at art? He's a priviliged cartoon critic? LMAO! It's also amusing to read the adoration of one persona of Paradise stating:
Paradise said... "Hi Thomas. Good work attending the meeting. As a parent and activist, we are lucky to have you involved in this important project."
Soooo, where was he at all the meetings since 2003? Was he in disguise? Don't recall any ducks when we did the build out on the HW playground in 2005. Where was he (and a few others) to get this recent meeting put together? Was he following us as we put up flyers? Or was he part of the Happy Feet Crew? After all, another showing of Happy Feet was much more important to the politicos than the input meeting
Why, I think this may have been Wee Wee's first meeting...but YOU do the work and WE'LL take the credit!
By his own admission, he didn't know the names of many in attendance. Now that's important involvement.
OFF TOPIC -- If you would like to visit the Loyola Park Fieldhouse, their annual Boxing Show will take place on Friday, September 28th at 7:00 PM. It's free, and I'm singing the National Anthem. I'll probably be working the corners for some of the boxers that evening, too.

I love visuals and this cartoon. Who's the guy in the red shirt supposed to be?

Kudos to cartoons, regardless the issue.
