* Chicago Punk Caught in Evanston Laundry Room Heists

A Note From the Evanston Police Department: This information was provided by Alderman Rainey's neighborhood internet bulletin board.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, December 29th, members of the Evanston Police Department burglary suppression team (Jeff Faison and Fernando Gomez) took Jose Clark into custody. Clark was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was detained and subsequently interviewed. During this interview Clark was shown video evidence of his participation in a laundry room burglary.

Consequently, Clark implicated himself in three burglaries: 833 Dobson, 201 Elmwood, and 203 Custer.

Further, Clark stated that he only "worked" east of Ridge Ave., allowing him to quickly flee to his residence in Chicago, IL. Clark revealed the names of two people who were co-offenders with him. The burglary team remains deployed and will be on the look-out for the named offenders. A full press release will be distributed Monday.

Thanks, Rich Eddington

Blognotes: Great job to Officers Jeff Faison and Fernando Gomez. Let's hope the other two mutts get apprehended before they can cause anymore laundry room damage.

Great blog. Just when I'm back in town on leave I read this Blackfive's blogpost and it looks like this story is going to blow-up nationally. And it all revolves around a Rogers Park resident. I thought you might be intereted in it:

Note Bernard from Chicago's comment on the board: "Clearly Jose Clark has heard about "Hands Across Howard," he's just confused about what it means."

He he.
