* Wanted - Laundry Room Thief On the Prowl

Home break-ins - Car break-ins - Coin operated laundry room break-ins.

Here's a little precaution for us Rogers Park residents. Evanston is currently going through a massive robbery crime craze. This week the Evanston police put out a All-Points-Bulletin (APB) 'Wanted Poster' on the above alleged criminal. With the heat on this guy, he may be moving locations? Seeing we're so close to the proximity of Evanston, it's a good chance he could be heading down here for some quick change.

If you see any strange activity on your property by the man fitting this description, please call 911. Or if you catch him in action, grab a baseball bat, rake, shovel or anything else handy, and whack him like a Pinata.

The Beyond RP News: Andersonville experiences rash of car break-in's. "Eleven burglaries and twenty counts of criminal damage to property were reported from October to December in CAPS Beat 2013, which covers part of Andersonville", according to Officer Cathy Battaglia.

* Officers also warned of reported muggings east of Broadway, though they could offer little information about the appearance of the attackers.

Beat 2013 is bordered by Clark, Broadway, Elmdale and Foster

If you catch this person inside your car, committing a crime, grab a baseball bat, broom, rake, shovel or anything else handy, and whack him like a Pinata. Or you can call 911.

Maybe that's the guy who vandalized the laundry room in my apartment building several weeks ago. I'd love to catch his behind.

I was walking to church this past Sunday, and I noticed that the Bark Place had a couple of boards on its windows. It appears to have been vandalized again. Any information on this?

Strange enough, I just got home and have a "Dear Craig" e-mail regarding this repeat window smashing. I'll run it tomorrow.
